This tableware collection is inspired by a traditional Mexican craft, called "barro negro", meaning black clay.

In southern México, there are a few towns in which people design and make tableware, vases and decorative objects with a special clay that turns black in the production process.

I think these products are beautiful and so I decided to make a tribute to this work, by designing Sak.

Sak focuses on shapes inspired by geometrical repetitions, from circle and rectangles, soft and hard edges, and light and shadows. Is all about keeping it real, The collection is simple and functional, with a little twist in the surfaces and colors.
